Sherlock Holmes Unsold TV Pilot "The Man Who Disappeared" (1951).

John Longden as Sherlock Holmes and Campbell Singer as Dr. Watson. An early attempt by British television producers to make Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's character into a weekly series. This version never went past the pilot stage but the lead actor (Longden) does give a solid performance. A bit low budget but worth watching. The film fell into the public domain in 1979 from lack of copyright renewal. This piece isn't rare but this is direct from 16mm so it should look a bit better than most versions floating around.
